Menu: Flippy chicken; corn noodle summer salad, iced treats for dessert
Creator of deliciousness: New Person (NP)
New Person hosted her first MND for a small crowd, just me (FFB). There were travelers and last minute free movie passes. That was OK though, it left more food for us.
Flippy chicken is a dish that NP is quite proud of and with a new rotisserie appliance at the house. The toaster oven option failed recently, but was replaced with a “set it and forget it” rotisserie. Rotisserie chicken (aka flippy) is back on the menu. Having read/heard/seen what we do for MND’s I think NP was unsure about joining us. We aim to take a casual approach to our dinner nights but, as seen in pictures, sometimes we do get quite fancy.
Working within our groups diet constraints, NP made a lovely pasta salad using corn noodles and pesto for a dressing. There were mushrooms and bell peppers in there too for a sweet crunch and texture.
The chicken was cooked to perfection and since there were only two of us, I got to hog the dark meat.
I was offered some kind of freezer treat but ate too much of my main meal and had no room.
Welcome to the crew NP, I look forward to more flippy dinners.
PS There was a lovely picture, but I can’t seem to get it out of my phone. It could still happen, just not today.
